To give everyone a chance to share their views, we are hosting a week-long online workshop, where we invite you to share your experience, hopes, and fears for how AI can improve our work.

What is the AI Strategy?
AI provides significant opportunity to amplify BCI’s impact, deliver work faster, serve members better, strengthen programme delivery and empower farmers globally. With this reach comes a responsibility to apply AI ethically and proportionately to our operating reality.
This strategy will identify high-value AI use cases tailored to BCI's scale and constraints, set clear principles and governance guardrails, create an AI capability-building framework for our organisation and deliver a practical roadmap with short-, medium- and long-term actions that support our mission without overextending our capacity.
How does this platform work?
The platform comprises an online conversation, which works a bit like a social media platform; you can share your perspective on relevant topics and contribute as much or as little as you would like, at a time that suits you.
Your contributions are anonymised. This way, the ideas you share will be judged on their merits, not their author. No need to worry about what your colleagues think or being ‘seen’ to like a certain idea.
Why are we doing this?
This digital platform will allow all BCI staff to contribute written reflections and interact with colleagues’ ideas, so we can collectively prioritise what matters most.
During this week-long engagement, you will be able to come here anytime, anywhere, from any computer, tablet or smartphone. Read the prompts, share your thoughts and engage with colleagues’ ideas. You can also come back to see how the conversation is evolving, see what others thought of your contributions and continue the discussion.
If you completed BCI’s IT survey on AI use from earlier this year, don’t worry — this conversation builds on the findings, and you’ll see how your contributions have shaped our thinking.
